What is the National Youth Council of Uganda?

The National Youth Council of Uganda (NYC) is a government body established by the National Youth Council Act Cap 319 to promote the interests of young people in Uganda. It was created to unify the youth of Uganda, engage them in beneficial activities for both themselves and the nation, and protect them against manipulation.
